Produced in our unique signature material AquaFlex Eco, which consists of 100% polyester (of which 55% comes from recycled plastic bottles), you get both the only available pair of trunks in sustainable materials, that are also ultra chlorine resistant. The design is kept simple and stylish with a side length of 5.5 cm, here in the popular colour Red Sporty.

• Is 5.5 cm from top to bottom of the side. This gives you a pair of trunks that do not cover more than is absolutely necessary and gives you the ultimate freedom. This is adapted to boys' smaller size.
• Equipped with a waist drawstring, so you or your boy can quickly and easily tighten or loosen the swimming trunks
• The typical sewing joints on the front are removed, so that Budgie gets a completely flat look from the front and it is avoided that little Claus is unnecessarily disturbed.
• Exclusively added a discreet white logo on one side, to maintain the classic look
• Comes in a free (value: DKK 99) and reusable wet/dry bag (see it here), which the swimming trunks can be placed in to and from training, so that the rest of the swim bag does not get wet after the trip in the water.

Sustainability and durability combined in one small pair of swimming trunks

The swimming trunks are produced in our unique Aquaflex ECO material consisting of 100% polyester, of which 55% is recycled from plastic bottles made on repreve yarn and 45% is PBT polyester,

This composition offers several unique advantages:

• 100% chlorine and UV resistant, so both fit and colours are maintained through +500 hours in water
• UPF +50 UV protection
• A uniquely high degree of breathability
• Equipped with a 4-way elasticity in the fabric, which gives you the necessary feeling of freedom in the swimming trunks.
• Is oil and sunscreen resistant, as well as antibacterial, so you / your boy avoids a pair of heavy swimming trunks smeared in various lotions, and which stay fresh over and over again
• Water-repellent and water-resistant, so that they do not absorb the water and thus do not become heavy to swim with, and you will therefore instead experience that you glide more naturally through the water.
• The fact that the swimming trunks are actually made from recycled plastic bottles that have been collected from the world's oceans, is possible because there is an intensive treatment after the collection. This involves crushing the bottles into small flakes, going through adaptive heating and cooling, and ultimately turning them into the strongest and most durable reusable sewing thread in the world.
  But even though this process is demanding, compared to a completely new fiber, fewer emissions are emitted, less water is used and only new crude oil is used in the process.
• The elastic at the top edge and the sewing thread around the leg cut of the swimming trunks are of great importance for their durability, as they often become loose after a couple of trips in chlorinated water. In Budgie Eco, the particularly chlorine-resistant Fratelli Leoni ® elastic has been chosen, which maintains its elasticity up to 3 times longer than normally used elastics for swimwear, due to the special pre-treatment of the silicone. In addition, the sewing thread used in the swimming trunks, Alterfil ® T, is particularly soft against the skin and gives a nice finish at the edge.

The swimming trunks are produced in Europe under the highest OEKO-TEX standard 100 certification, which is given to products that have passed tests against harmful chemical substances.
